On Monday, January 31, 2022, the unexpected passing of retired Apostle Benjamin Pidah, from Ghana, was announced.
Benjamin Pidah was born on March 19, 1956 in Afoega-Agata in the Volta Region, Ghana. He grew up in a Christian home. Following his primary and secondary education, he studied at the Kwadaso Agricultural College and later worked as a Technical Officer at the Ministry of Agriculture.
Benjamin became acquainted with the New Apostolic Church through Apostle Kwesi Parku and was sealed in October 1979 in Nigeria by Apostle Gottfried Schwarzer.
Over the years, our departed Apostle was ordained into the following ministries:
· Deacon in 1983
· Priest in 1985
· Evangelist in 1987
· District Evangelist in 1987
· District Elder in 1988
· Chief Apostle Richard Fehr ordained him as Apostle on September 18, 1988, in Ghana.
· Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider placed him into retirement on January 27, 2019, in Cape Coast, Ghana.
Apostle Pidah had a profound faith and fulfilled his duties in Nigeria and later in Ghana with great blessing. He supported his leaders unconditionally and had a big heart for the children of God entrusted into his care. After his retirement he continued to exude a joyful faith.
Apostle Benjamin Pidah is survived by Sister Faustine, whom he married in June 1986. Their marriage was blessed with three children, all boys.
