In the New Apostolic Church Divine Service Guide, a Youth Service is scheduled to be organized once a month. However, for this month, the Obuasi District youth of Tutuka Congregation decided to do it in a different way. The Youth held a Breakfast Meeting on the 7th of May, 2022 at the premises of Tutuka congregation. District Rectors Kwame Agyakum and George Mensah were present for the program.
The welcome address and purpose for the gathering was shared by youth leader, Prince Ntisem. The youth enjoyed some teachings from Deacon Stephen Asare, based on the book of Jeremiah 1:7: ‘But the Lord said to me, do not say, I am a youth, for you shall go to all whom I send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak.’ The youth where encouraged to listen and live by the word of God as given by Jesus Christ through the Apostles. They were also urged not to be reluctant to accept God’s call due to their young ages.
Other activities organised on the day included:
- District Rectors’ engagement with the youth
- Preparations towards the National Youth camp
- Open forum
The last activity was the Breakfast for the youth. About 30 youth members and some Sunday School children were served with breakfast. The Youth were happy and satisfied about the morning’s event and continued to socialize after the closing prayer by District Rector Agyakum.
