National Youth Convention 2022: Are you ready?
19 September 2022

In 17 days, an estimated 8,000 youth will be disembarking from their coaches and buses from all over Ghana, ready to lodge in the halls of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, for the next 4 days. Their purpose? To partake in the National Youth Convention (NYC) 2022.

Originally, the NYC should have come off in 2019, as part of the Church’s 50th anniversary celebrations in Ghana. However, it was postponed three times, largely due to the health and safety risks and concerns presented by the Corona virus pandemic.

This time, there is no hinderance. And guess what, the District Apostle has absorbed the entire cost of feeding and accommodation for the duration of the camp. Probably, Napoloen Hill was right when he said, “Within every adversity is an equal or greater benefit.”

Thank you, District Apostle, for this blessing! It has come timely in these times of global economic hardships. Your gesture will provide a glimpse of the future for many aspiring youths who would love to experience undergraduate studies at KNUST. For others, it’s a chance to see the much-heralded KNUST, which is popularly known as “Tech” among senior secondary and tertiary students.

The Convention also promises to be exciting and different from the usual. To start with, the NYC is being held just after Thanksgiving Day, that is, 6th to 9th October 2022. What a time it will be for the Youth to express their joy and thankfulness to the Lord. A torch flame will be lit, many divine services will be held simultaneously in all the major languages to cater for the needs of all and an interaction with the District Apostle.

Yes, the District Apostle will be with us in Kumasi. Additionally, there will be several guests from neighbouring countries joining the NYC. So, for the youth studying French in school, who knows; the Church might need your help!

The theme has been set: “In this together”. The program has been prepared and ready. Digital artworks and e-posters are being shared. The countdown has already began.

We are ready, are you?
