Volta Central Youth Choir
9 October 2022

Simply a memorable night! A cool October evening, fifteen well prepared choirs, impactful choice of songs, beautiful voices, and a sense of belonging to the future of the Church in Ghana. It was an apt climax to the activities of the NYC 2022. It was also the best preparation for the Festive Divine Service with the District Apostle the following day.

A Night of Light and Music was truly expressed by all the various talents bequeathed to us by our Lord. Right from the cello players of Kumasi, the military-styled ensemble of choristers, trumpeters, tuba players and organists from Volta South; the eccentric and crowd-cheering choir conducting from Accra, the yellow army of Takoradi and the beautifully dressed choir of Volta Central. It was a night to savour. Hopefully the next national youth convention in Ghana would be bigger and better.

Oh, did we add the surprise of the Nigerians? Yes indeed! Our Nigerian brothers and sisters also performed. They might have began singing in Yoruba or Ibo but finished their rendition in Twi. The Kumasi food must have had a Pentecostal effect on them.
