The Konongo Apostle Area organized their festival of the Nine Lessons and Carols Night at the Adako Jachie congregation on Friday, 23rd December, 2022. It was a joyous occasion with the Lead Apostle Oppong-Brenya being hosted by Apostle Anum Nortey. Also invited was Apostle Asampong (Koforidua).
There were beautiful separate performances by the Jachie, Domeabra and Obuasi choirs, singing hymns such as Zion’z Daughter, Joy to the world, Glory praise and honour as well as Glory by W.A. Mozart. When the various district choirs came together to performe Hark the Herald Angels Sing, it was a heavenly experience.
There were some invited guests to grace the occasion as well. The Chief of the Adako Jachie town, Nana Osei Bosompem III (Adako Jachie Hene) together with the Queenmother, Nana Akosua Tutuwaa (Adako Jachie Hemaa) were there. Mr. Baffour Awuah Frimpong (Assembly Man), and Mr. S. O. Frimpong (Ejisu Municpal Chief Executive) were also in attendance.
Lead Apostle Samuel Oppong-Brenya, a native of Jachie and one of the founding members of the congregation, gave the Christmas and New Year message.
