The expectations were high, the euphoria spectacular as members of the Ho Central Congregation ushered in the Christmas festivities with a night of “Nine Lessons and Carols”. The event took place on Saturday 24th December, 2022 at the Ho church premises.
Under the leadership of Deacon Stephen Owusu, the choir and Sunday School performed melodious songs. The beautiful rendition of 'Oh come all ye faithful' sung in Ewe (a local language predominant in that part of Ghana) set the tone for the rest of the programme.
Music from soloists to duet performances, coupled with choreography from the Sunday School filled the evening. These attracted rousing applause from the members and audience present. It was an experience of joy and gratitude!
Bible passages narrating the promise of God in the Garden of Eden, God’s promise to Abraham, through to the birth of Jesus Christ and the mystery of His incarnation as proclaimed by John the Apostle were read.
Delivering the key note address, Apostle Richard Osei expressed his appreciation to all participants for their great performances. He further entreated members to allow the joy and peace of the birth of Jesus Christ radiate through them in all spheres of life. This the Apostle said would make us good ambassadors of the purpose of His birth, thus, to save mankind.
