Lead Apostle Samuel Oppong-Brenya with the Sunday School and ministers at Bolga Central
22 February 2023

Lead Apostle Samuel Oppong-Brenya made a 3-day  working visit to the Bolgatanga Apostle working area from 10th - 12th February, 2023. On his visit he met the district leaders, conducted two divine services and also inspected a donation by the Church.

Work Together
On the 10th February, 2023, the Lead Apostle began his visit by meeting the District leaders of the Bolgatanga Working Area. At the meeting, he called for commitment and togetherness from all. He outlined his plan activities for 2023 and also took time to review the Working Area’s performance for the year 2022, district by district.

Let the Past Guide You
On the 11th February 20223, Lead Apostle Oppong-Brenya conducted the first Divine Service of his visit at Kotintaabiga-yalpala congregation in Sheaga District. The service was based on a text word from John 16:28, “I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.”

In his sermon, the Lead Apostle highlighted the importance of eternal life and how it can impact our daily life. He also explained the essence of the fear of God in the times of old and of today.

He said Israelites and early Christians loved and feared of God; He saved them from hardships, delivered them from their enemies and guided them through many experiences. Whatever we are experiencing now was also experienced in the past. He further advised the congregants to emulate the examples of the past to love and fear God as well as keep His commandment.

The Lead Apostle was supported by Apostle Samuel Ayidana.

After the divine service in the Sheaga District, the Lead Apostle inspected a borehole that was sunk by the Church for the community two years ago at Gonware.

Let Love Lead
On the 12th February, 2023, the Lead Apostle held his second divine service at the Bolga District. He was welcomed by the Sunday School children together with the administration brothers in the area. The service was held at the Bolga Central Congregation.

The Lead Apostle took a text word from Luke 10:37-38, And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”

The Lead Apostle dwelt on love for our self and love for one another in our society and anywhere we find ourselves. Our Lord Jesus Christ preached and demonstrated love; He showed it everywhere He went. Ultimately, He gave His life out of love, for us to also live eternally with Him. He preached love, and lived love.

It is only by believing and accepting this ultimate sacrifice of love and His Name, that we can also gain eternal life and salvation. He advised the congregation gathered that the only way to salvation is through our Lord Jesus Christ.

He further directed the congregants: to believe in the Son of God, hold strongly to our faith, love one another and be of a compassionate mind and a forgiving heart. These are the qualities of a believer.

The service was attended by ministers and members from neighbouring districts to the Bolga district.

The service was supported by Apostle Samuel Ayidana and the Nakpanduri District Elder, Paul Bakpen Konlan. As part of the service, three Priests were ordained.
