Priest Pius Adom and wife Yvonne Oye Anom
27 April 2023

“Thanks be to God who brought us victory through Jesus Christ, that victory paved the way for these ones to appear before the altar of grace. Our joy is complete, the ancient covenant of marriage is once again to be cemented”, began Lead Apostle Samuel Oppong-Brenya when he officiated the Holy Matrimony between Priest Pius Adom and Sister Yvonne Oye Anom – the daughter of Apostle Anom Nortey – on Saturday 15th April 2023.

The Northern Ghana leader was assisted by Apostles Poku- Akubia , Opoku-Mensah and Bishop Kesse.

The bible text for the service was read from James 3:17 “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable , gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.”

Worldly and heavenly wisdom
The Lead Apostle explained that the wisdom of man has many deficiencies bedeviled with lies and thievery, often does not help man. The perfect wisdom that helps man is one from above. He referred to Job 28:28, ‘And behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding’. The decision to marry as a husband and wife emanated from godly wisdom and must be honoured. Marriage which began between man and woman is as old as the creation of man and must be respected.”

Let the Lord Jesus be closer!
The Lead Apostle admonished the couple to stick to the Lord Jesus Christ in their marriage: “Woe unto you if you abandon the Lord in your marriage. To have peace is to be content with whatever you. As you have the Lord, be content with Him and may His peace abide with you. The Church and the congregation have high hopes in you and you must not let them down.”

He admonished the couple to complement the efforts of each other and let love and respect exist between them. “Go and sow seeds of peace, not too long from now, the hungry, the thirsty and destitute will visit your home. Feed them, comfort them for the Lord will reward such hearts.”

Let love lead
The couple were advised to engage in constant prayer as a family that prays together stays together. “Let true love dwell between you, protect it with the wisdom of God” concluded the Lead Apostle.

In attendance were Apostles Opoku Amankwa, Otchere, Asampong, Poku- Akubia, Richard Osei, Amos Osei-Du, Apostle Nketiah (rtd.), Jantuah (rtd), Boakye (rtd.) and Darko (rtd).
