In the morning of 9th July 2023, the Rector, Shepherd Kwapong served the Osu Congregation with text word from Luke 10:33: “But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion.”
The core message of the Shepherd’s sermon was a call for Christians be helpful to those who are in need. This, he concluded, will attract blessings from God.
After the divine service, Sister Millicent, a chorister, joined the Sunday school children to celebrate the 1st birthday of her daughter Samuella. It was a joyful moment for the Sunday school kids when birthday cakes and candies were shared.
In a special and innovative vineyard activity by the Osu congregation, the members reassembled in the afternoon for a lecture on "Dental Health Care" by Dr. Silverster Owusu from North Legon Hospital (Dental Clinic). He was accompanied by Dr. Phillipa Larbi Asamoah from Ridge Hospital Accra and Sister Florence Asantewa Antwi also from North Legon Hospital (Dental Clinic). There was a Question-and-Answer session as well.
This event was open to the Osu community. Members, both adults and children, as well some guests from the Osu neighbourhood were screened free of charge. Some brothers and sisters of other Christian churches nearby joyfully availed themselves and even requested that similar lectures on dental health care be done at their churches
