On Sunday, 1st October, 2023, Madina congregation launched the Count Your Blessings musical program. They held their first edition after the special annual Thanksgiving divine service. 

The program is meant to extend praise and adoration to God through music. In addition, it aims to continue to grow and evolve the choir to enrich, develop and sustain the faith and activity in the congregational life of members.

The special guests present were District Rector Theophilus Owusu-Ansah, Deputy District Rector Kwame Kankam (Dodowa district), Apostle Perigrino Kotei Afutu (Rtd), Bishop Eric Ampadu (Rtd) and wife Sister Adelaide Ampadu, District Elder Dr. William Brakohiapa (rtd) and wife Sister Dr.  Lucy Brakohipa, and Sister Angelina Kankam (Wife of Apostle Isaac Nantwi Kankam of blessed memory).

The program began with a curtain raiser by Sister Vanessa Tay playing the organ and a poetry recital about Thanksgiving by Sister Caryn Edinam.

The District Rector Theophilus Owusu-Ansah officially opened the program with a word of prayer. This paved the way for the entire congregation to get involved in the event by singing ‘When you in the storms of life’.

Thereafter the rector of the congregation, Shepherd Jones Kyere, highlighted the purpose of the musical program in his opening address, and also specially praised non-choir and elderly members of the Madina congregation for their unflinching support for the program. 

It was all joy as the Madina choir walked up stage dressed in beautiful colours entertained the audience with 14 soothing songs. The District Elder Solomon Kyere (rtd) concluded the program with a closing remark thanking the choir and organisers, and all who were present for the occassion and especially the retirees and their spouses.

The Deputy District Rector for the Dodowa district, Kwame Kankam, also praised the Madina congregation for their contributions to the Lord’s work before leading the closing prayer.
