Joy overflow
13 October 2023

The Sunday school weekend of the Volta Central Apostle Area was climaxed on Sunday 17th September, 2023, with a divine service conducted by Apostle Anthony Kuada (Volta South Apostle Area). He was the special guest for the Children’s weekend. Over 525 members participated in the service, of which 245 were Sunday school children.

The divine service was based on Mathew 6:3-4 “But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly”.

In his opening remarks, the Apostle underscored the need for unity in the body of Christ. He explained that, despite differences in tribes, race and colour, the body of Christ must remain one. “We belong to the family of God and Christ and there is no Gentile or Jew” the Apostle admonished. He further entreated members to eschew discrimination but rather show love and kindness to one another. He urged members to be altruistic.

The Apostle, in his elaboration of the bible word, encouraged members to share with their neighbours, material goods and spiritual gifts obtained from God. He added that every single act of love, kindness and generosity is rewarded by God. He advised to eschew trumpeting the good deeds done for their neighbours. He further exhorted members to practice charity discreetly and the Lord shall reward them openly.

Apostle Richard Senyo Osei and Shepherd Stephen Dzah supported the service.

After Service Activities
There was an array of performances by the Sunday School children after the divine service. These include choreography, cultural performances, poetry recitals and Bible verse recitals to the admiration of members.

The joy of the children was boundless. The celebration served as a platform for socialization, fellowship, learning and enthusiasm in the service of the Lord.
