Osu Sunday School with their teacher
12 December 2023

The Sunday School Children usually welcome officiating ministers before divine services with bouquet of flowers, recitals or singing of hymnals. But on Sunday, the 3rd December, 2023, the Sunday School Groups from the East-Legon, Osu and Madina congregations did more by entertaining the Lead Apostles and National Heads of Seminars to role-play bible characters mixed with singing of hymnals, recitals and march pass. This took place at the East-Legon Church premises before the special divine service.

East-Legon Sunday School opened the role-plays with a sketch centered on ‘The Return of Christ’, educating all on some events before and after the return of Christ. The plays narrated the Lord promising His own people a blessed and glorious future. That we, His children, await Him with faith and patience as He alone determines the time Christ would return.

Dressed in local fabric costumes and accompanied by an orchestra, Osu Sunday School treated all to a theatrical role-play titled ‘How to Pray’. This featured bible characters from the Parable of the Pharisee and Tax Collector, as Christ indicated that one must not judge or be arrogant in prayer.

The Madina Sunday School role-played ‘The 10 Lepers’, a part of our Lord’s work of healing recorded in Luke 17 verse 12 -19. The children entertained and educated all on the need to have faith, be obedient and give glory to God after we are prayers and requests are answered.

After the performances, the two Lead Apostles, Benjamin Ohene-Saffo and Vincent Yedenou spoke in two words ‘Thank You’ to all the respective Sunday School Children and their tutors.
