Ministers and family of the late Apostle at the graveside
23 December 2023

It’s been over a year already when the late Apostle Benjamin Pidah was laid to rest in his hometown at Anfoega Agatanyigbe. This falls within the Vakpo District of the Volta North Apostle Area. In consonance with this age-old tradition, the families of our late Apostle Benjamin Pidah gathered from 25th to 26th November 2023 at Agatanyigbe.

It is customary, in many parts of the country, for families to observe a one-year memorial for their departed relatives. The year is usually counted from the date of burial. These events are characterized with a family gathering, special church service and wreath laying ceremony.

Lead Apostle Benjamin Ohene-Saffo, accompanied by Apostles Alexander Poku-Akubia (Volta North), Richard Osei (Volta Central) and Anthony Kuada (Volta South) and a host of District ministers from the Volta South and North Apostle Areas, celebrated a special divine service at the Anfoega Bume congregation (a twin town with Agatanyigbe) on Sunday November 26 to climax the one year memorial.

The Lead Apostle also led a wreath laying ceremony at the graveside of the late Apostle. Whilst paying glowing tribute to the memory of the Apostle, he encouraged the family and members of the certainty of our meeting with the brethren who have gone ahead of us into the beyond on the Resurrection day.

Apostles Timothy Akubia (rtd) and Richard Osei (Apostle Pidah’s successor) also took turns to speak to the fond memory of the departed Apostle.

The family expressed their profound gratitude to the New Apostolic Church for their immense support and contributions to Apostle Pidah during his ministry, and also to the family after his death.

Apostle Pidah passed on into the beyond on 31st January 2022, and was laid to rest on May 14, 2022.
