The Hohoe Central Congregation ushered in the Christmas day with an evening of nine lessons and carols. This has been an annual tradition for the congregation. The 2023 event took place on Sunday December 24, 2023. Invited were the children from Ve-Koloenu and Kpando congregation.
The almost two-hour event was characterised by traditional bible readings, popularly known as “Nine Lessons”, musical renditions from the main choir, Sunday School and ministers. Bible recitals and poetry by the Sunday school spiced the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Apostle Alexander Poku-Akubia expressed gratitude to members for their support and participation. He further underscored the need for utmost care for the children, having observed the high attendance of children. The Apostle emphasised that, the future of the Church depends much on the strength of the foundation in the Sunday School. He advised members to also use the yuletide to radiate the nature of the Saviour, Jesus Christ.
