The District Apostle in a group picture with the Apostles and Sunday School
1 February 2024

Despite the burning sunshine and sweltering heat in Ho, thousands of members gathered to celebrate the special divine service with District Apostle Michael Ehrich at the Walter Komla Blege Hall, Mawuli Senior High School on Sunday, January 14, 2024. A well-rehearsed Sunday School welcomed the South Germany District Church leader to his last activity on this visit, with an impressive cultural display of dance and songs.

The Leader served with a text word from Matthew 28 verse 20b,‘I am with you always, even to the end of the age’”.

Introducing the sermon, the District Apostle reminded all about the 10 commandments and shared their objective: “These commandments given to us help direct, counsel and differentiate our life attitudes from good and bad. Our gathering here today speaks of our faith in the gospel and commandments of God which derives blessings from our Heavenly Father.”

Dwelling on the text, the District Apostle Ehrich expounded that the text word was a heartfelt message spoken by Jesus to the disciples. Preceding these words, Jesus had earlier ordered the disciples with the Great Commission. “This was a special task given to the Apostles, back then and today. And Jesus added; ‘I am with you always, even to the end of the age’. This means, if we are connected to the Apostles’ Ministry, Jesus will be with us always, every day and throughout our whole lives.”

The District Apostle continued: “Of course, we all experience diverse challenges. But fast-forward, we sometimes ask how these challenges would be resolved, or what the future entails and their possible solutions. Regardless, let’s look up to Jesus Christ, follow His Apostles and then we would experience His presence always”.

To experience the presence of Jesus with us:

  • We must listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit within our hearts and souls. And the Holy Spirit will lead us throughout our lives.
  • In divine services, we also experience the presence of the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
  • Also, God has given us ministers through whom we are prayed for and given orientation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Ministers must live according to the gospel else they cannot offer blessings.

The District Apostle concluded: “Having been sealed and received the gifts of the Holy Spirit, we have obtained the orientation by the gospel and commandments. And living accordingly to such allows us to experience the presence of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

The District Apostle Michael Ehrich was assisted by the Lead Apostle Benjamin Ohene-Saffo (Ghana) and Apostle Kloutse (Togo).
