Lead Apostle with administration brothers

On the 21st January, 2024, Lead Apostle Benjamin Ohene-Saffo led a divine service at Techiman Central Church as this was his first visit to the Apostle Working area since his appointment as Lead Apostle for the Ghana Church.

He based his sermon on the text word: John 1:48-49 Nathanael said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” Nathanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”’

The Lead Apostle began his sermon by highlighting that much as the divine services serve as a source of blessings and an experience of grace from the Most High God, they also provide an opportunity for us to glorify, praise and offer to God.  “The significance of giving offering cannot be underrated”, he said.

Dwelling on the text word, the Lead Apostle explained that Jesus coming into the world was a fulfilment of the Scriptures in the Old Testament. However, coming in humility, and from a place of little reputation, He also called men of low repute, to work with in His ministry and fulfil His purpose on earth.

This teaches us a few things:

  • It does not matter who we are, it is the Lord who sees beyond our limitations and stature, and calls us into His ministry and vineyard.
  • Although we gather in the Lord’s House to spiritually prepare for His second coming, it is He who calls us to salvation, and gathers us at divine services according to His will.
  • In calling us into His Kingdom, the Lord also provides for our journey of faith spiritually and naturally.
  • As in the case of Nathanael, the Lord could see His heart, and knew Him. In the same way, the Lord looks into our hearts, and knows us. He knows are strengths and weaknesses.

Concluding the service, the Ghana Leader added: “Jesus taught us the way to experience grace. He sacrificed Himself for us so we may attain salvation. Let us not focus on worldly things. Rather, let us be guided by the Scriptures, meditate on the words and live according to Jesus words. Only then can we experience His grace and salvation.”

Apostle Paul Kyeremeh, District Rector Abrefa Noah and Priest William Ntim assisted the divine service.
