The Lead Apostle ended his trip to the Takoradi Apostle Area in the Kyekyewere district on Sunday, 3rd March 2024 with a Divine Service for the Departed at the Kyekyewere congregation. Apostle George Sam, Bishop Thomas Ampofo, District Rector Samuel Asuah (Takoradi North), and Rector for Sekondi Congregation, Community Evangelist Elijah accompanied the Lead Apostle for the divine service.
The text used for the service was based on Psalm 57:10, “For your mercy reaches unto the heavens, and your truth unto the clouds.”
The Apostle spoke about the love God has for us even though we sin against. “Today David reminds us that God’s love is great for us. His faithfulness is so massive and powerful to reach all”, he said. “David asked for God's merciful protection, with full confidence that it will be delivered. And despite the vicious attacks of his enemies, David resolved to praise the Lord. We are also seeking for God’s mercy and protection for the departed since today we are being told that God’s mercy is beyond the reach of mankind.”
He continued: “Who are you to restrict God’s blessing or to pronounce judgment on one other? The blessing from God cannot be measured by the intelligence of mankind. There is no condemnation to those that are in Christ Jesus”. This means that those who have placed their faith in Jesus as their Lord and Saviour are no longer under the judgment of the law.
“My dear brothers and sisters, whatever thing that is written in the bible shall come to pass. We should always be ready to intercede for our brothers and sisters who are in the realms of the beyond whenever we have such a service”. These were the concluding words of the Lead Apostle as he ended the service.
The Ghana Church leader was assisted by Apostle Sam, Bishop Ampofo, District Rector Owu, District (Kyekyewere) Rector Ausah, Deputy Rector Sunu (Kyekyewere) and Congregational Rector Elijah (Sekondi)
