On the occasion of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Quansah (Cape Coast) accompanied by the district leaders of his working area conducted a divine service for the brothers and sisters in the Mankessim district. Also in attendance at the service were the youth leaders as well as the leaders of the women’s group of the various districts in the Apostle area.
The text for the service was taken from Jude 20, “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit”
Apostle Emmanuel Quansah, addressing the gathering, emphasized the need and importance of the prayer life of a believer. He said in praying, the children of God communicate with Him and thus:
- worship God
- thank Him
- intercede for our brethren
- petition God for our needs
He added that in building one’s self up on the most holy faith, we must always pray in the spirit. “When filled by the Holy Spirit and praying to God, exhibit the love that God has for his creation in your prayer. Whoever is filled with love does not think evil, neither does he pray curses on others. Let us pray in the strength of the Holy Spirit, as the Holy Spirit came to help us in our life of faith and also the church.”
The Apostle concluded by urging the gathering to pray for the Lord to return soon and to be worthy partakers of His return.
After the divine service, Apostle Quansah together with the district leaders, youth leaders and women’s group held a meeting to plan for the upcoming youth and women conventions later in the year.
