Excited children in a ‘Dance & Sing along’
11 July 2024

The Sunday School is one of the most important learning and teaching group for every child in the New Apostolic Church. During Sunday School, children are taught how to think and act as Jesus did. Also, they are made to understand that the House of God is their joy, where through word and sacrament they are being prepared for the return of Jesus Christ.

On Sunday, June 30, 2024, during a special zonal divine service with Apostle Charles Addo Asare at the Osu Congregation. Approximately eighty (80) children from Osu, La, Teshie 1 and Teshie 2 attended and participated in the Sunday School. Their day was filled with laughter, fun as well as questions and answers. Also, most of the children enjoyed the dance & sing along instituted by their teachers, alongside telling of everyday stories and biblical events with aid of illustrations.

Our NAC Website reporter sought audience with one of the Sunday School teachers, Sister Floral, after witnessing these beautiful moments with the Sunday School.

NAC Reporter: How joyful are you to always teach and work with these Sunday School Children?

Sister Floral: It’s been an honour to always help teach these children. Working with them has been a great joy for me, especially noticing their understanding from previous lessons with the aid of biblical events and everyday stories. So yes, I am very happy to play such a role in their lives.

NAC Reporter: What was today’s lesson?

Sister Floral: Today’s lesson was on Daniel and his three (3) friends namely Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. And their story on refusing to serve King Nebuchadnezzar’s gods or worship his gold image.

NAC Reporter: What were the names of the stretch break and dance & sing along and why do such?

Sister Floral: ‘Addis Ababa’ (stretch break), and ‘Nebuchadnezzar turn like this’ (dance & sing along). (Sister Floral and our reporter both share a laugh), just to help the children relax their muscles after minutes of the day’s lesson. And, also to help improve their understanding after feeling refreshed.

NAC Reporter: Thank you Sister Floral for helping cultivate in these children that Jesus Christ is the central point of all religious care.

Sister Floral: Thank you too, Hahaha! (Sister Floral laughs)
