On the last Sunday and last day of the month of June, Apostle Paul Kyeremeh conducted a divine service at the Techiman Central church in the Techiman Apostle Area to climax a two-day event held by the teachers for the Sunday school.
The text word for the service was taken from Mathew 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.”
Acknowledging the special occasion for the children and youth of Techiman, the Apostle focused his message on inspiring the young members to nurture a godly life. “My dear children and youth gathered here, we the adults started just like you but are where we are by the grace and mercies of God. The kingdom of God is open and prepared for you, as Jesus said in the bible. However, whoever wants to enter the Kingdom of God should be humble and obedient.” The Apostle advised the young members to remain obedient and abide by the words and counsel of their parents and teachers.
Continuing his sermon to the congregation, he said: “We should lead an exemplary life as Christ led. We should plant in ourselves and these young ones the Christ-like behaviour for us to be an example to everyone in our household, workplace, our society. Our speech should always be of love, peace, prosperity”. The Apostle admonished all members to be hardworking, truthful, obedient and faithful at any place they find themselves to be an example and a light for others to follow.
Apostle Paul Kyeremeh congratulated and thanked the Sunday School teachers for their time, resources and patience during the training and teaching of the children to ensure they are brought up in a godly way to fulfil the word of God.
District Rector Abrefa Noah, Shepherds Saint Yeboah, Philemon Agyei, Asare and Ntim, as well as Priests Daniel Jabisi and Bright Mensah assisted the service.
