As part of year-end activities for 2023, over 30 choirmasters from across Ghana gathered at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) campus to enhance their skills and maximise their potential in leading their district choirs.

The purpose was to equip these choir leaders with the necessary expertise to nurture and grow numerous vibrant choirs dedicated to the congregations in Ghana. Choristers play a vital role in divine services, special events and community outreach initiatives. They serve to uplift the spirits of believers and spread the message of faith through the power of music.

With a shared passion and a deep commitment, the choir leaders—comprising both seasoned professionals and enthusiastic amateurs—came together to embark on this pertinent musical journey. They enjoyed a carefully curated program that encompassed a wide range of training modules including vocal techniques, choral arrangements and conducting skills. Participants also discussed inculturation of the frame of divine services. Some of these comprehensive sessions were led by Apostles Asare and Otchere, Community Evangelists Ben Morrison, Sister Mavis Amankwah, Brother Owura Juantuah, District Rectors Joseph Gyimah and Patrick Konadu.

The choir leaders have returned to their respective communities, armed with new skills, renewed inspiration, to build vibrant choirs that touch the lives of all who experience their melodic offerings.
