The Lead Apostle Benjamin Ohene-Saffo led an inspiring service at the Nzulezu congregation in the Essiama district on Saturday 7th September 2024. Apostle George Sam and Bishop Thomas Ampofo accompanied him. As part of his day’s activities the Lead Apostle ordained a Priest and Deacon for the Essiama district.
Focusing on Psalm 33:18-19, “Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy, to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine”, the Ghana Church leader shared a few thoughts.
The Eye of God
The Lead Apostle emphasized God’s constant attention and care for His people, encouraging the congregation to trust in His watching eye. He said it is easy to wonder if God is truly paying attention to our struggles in times of uncertainty and fear. “Does He see our pain? Does He care about our well-being? Today’s sermon offers a resounding answer to these questions, reminding us that God’s eye is indeed upon those who fear Him and hope in His mercy.”
Fear and Hope
The Lead Apostle said in the physical world every parent has joy with his/her child who respects, submits, and listens to their words. “So it is in the spiritual world with our Heavenly Father”, he explained. He added that many do not fear and believe in God because of what they have in their possession. “If we don’t fear God, how can He listen to our prayers? Hope also means trusting in God’s loving kindness and forgiveness.”
Be Submissive
The Leader encouraged the congregation to surrender their lives to God’s will, trusting in His goodness and sovereignty. He explained that submission to God is a willingness to obey and follow His guidance. He highlighted the benefits of submission, including peace, joy and protection.
Concluding the service, Lead Apostle Benjamin Ohene-Saffo referenced Psalm 33:18-19, reminding us that God is always watching over us. His eye is fixed on those who fear and hope in Him. “May we rest in the knowledge that God sees us, knows us, and will deliver and sustain us through all of life’s challenges.”
The Lead Apostle was supported by Apostle Sam, Bishop Ampofo and District Rector Francis Nyangolah.
