The Wiawso Apostle Area Annual Youth Convention 2024 was climaxed on Sunday 29th September, 2024, with a divine service conducted by Apostle Augustus Adika-Lavoe at the Bia Senior High Technical School’s assembly hall.
Before his sermon, the Wiawso Working Area Apostle seized the opportunity to thank all the youth and their leaders for making this year’s youth convention a successful one
The Apostle the read a text word from Hebrews 13:2, “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by some people have entertained angels without knowing it”.
Explaining the text word, Apostle Lavoe said that Christianity is practical. It is through doings that makes others repent. “We ought to show kindness to all manner of person, regardless of their background. God’s love for mankind is indiscriminate and genuine, hence we should also do same to our neighbours.”
Work of the angels
The Apostle also went further to state the importance of angels. They:
- were created to worship and serve God
- perform specific tasks on behalf of God for mankind
- serve as messengers to mankind
However, in some cases, the works angels can only manifested in mankind if genuinely open our hearts to do good to others, he said.
Bringing his service to an end, Apostle Lavoe advised the congregation to always do good to others without discrimination, treat people with a good heart, love their neighbours as themselves.
The service was supported by District Rectors John Bright Adu (Nsawora District), Richard Appoh (Bekwai District), David Addae (Boako District), Daniel Oppong (Debiso District) and District Evangelist Patrick Nkuah (Juaboso District Evangelist). About 400 members attended the divine service.
