As Ghanaians prepare to exercise their electoral franchise on December 7, 2024, the Sunday School children, orchestra and the youth of the Techiman Apostle area, have embarked on a “Peace Talk” campaign. This began on Saturday 19th October, 2024.
The purpose of the campaign is to preach peace before, during and after the national elections in Ghana. Dignitaries and leaders of the various political parties as well as various churches within Techiman such as the Seventh Day Adventist, Roman Catholic Church and the Methodist Church were invited to grace the occasion.
The event was preceded by an organized float through the principal streets of Techiman with placards. The chairman of the Electoral Commission for Techiman South, Mr. Asante William, expressed his profound gratitude for being invited to such an event and proceeded to advise the youth to remain calm, tolerant and help promote peace throughout the election process. He also educated the youth on punishment for electoral violences.
Apostle Paul Kyeremeh concluded the speech by advising the youth to help promote peace and, harmony and finally prayed for our country, Ghana.
