Excitement Grows for The Historic Divine Service

Our Leaders have arrived Ghana, and the anticipation is building for the historic divine service on Sunday, November 24, 2024! NAC Ghana is actively planning for this significant event. On Sunday, November 10, 2024, our NAC Reporter visited the Accra Central Church, where he observed vibrant choir rehearsals and engaged with church leaders. He also had the chance to speak with the Apostle Charles Addo Asare from the Accra Working Area to gain insights into the preparations underway.

NAC Reporter: Blessed Day, Apostle! How are the preparations coming along? What is the expected attendance for the service, and how will you manage the overflow attendance of members?

Apostle Asare: Thank you. Preparations are proceeding smoothly. We are expecting over 3,000 members for the service, and we will set up canopies with additional chairs for those who cannot be seated in the church hall.

NAC Reporter: What arrangements are in place for parking & security?

Apostle Asare: We have obtained permits from local government authorities to close all roads in front of and around the church building to create more parking space. Additionally, we have coordinated with the Ghana Police Service to ensure adequate security.

NAC Reporter: How many choristers will participate, what will they wear, and where will they be seated during the service?

Apostle Asare: We will have a total of 300 choristers from the Accra, Volta, and Kumasi Apostle Working Areas. The male choristers will wear black suits, black ties, white shirts, and black shoes, while the female choristers will wear white long-sleeve blouses, black skirts, and black shoes. The choir will be seated to the left side of the altar.

NAC Reporter: Would the orchestra be involved as they were during Chief Apostle’s last visit in 2022?

Apostle Asare: No, there will not be an orchestra this time.

NAC Reporter: Would there be a welcome play by the entire Sunday School?

Apostle Asare: No, instead, there will be a brief welcome presentation by selected Sunday School Children.

After the interview, the NAC reporter spoke with a group of choristers following their rehearsal.

NAC Reporter: Did you enjoy today’s rehearsal? How many rehearsals have you had so far, and are you ready?

Group of Choristers: Yes, we enjoyed it as always! We have rehearsed more than eight times on a two-week interval schedule, and we are always ready to sing, praise, honour, and serve our Lord God through hymns.

NAC Reporter: Thank you. Any final thoughts from anyone?

Priest Tetteh (Priest & A Chorister for NAC, Tema): After the November 24th, I hope to join and sing with the New Apostolic Church, Southern Germany Choir in a service with our Chief Apostle & District Apostle Ehrich (every present laughs).
