As part of the year end activities in the Waiwso Aposte Area, Apostle Augustus Adika-Lavoe conducted a special divine service at Kwasikrom New Apostolic Church in the Juaboso District, on 22nd December 2024. This was the last visit to the area within the year where he ordained four new deaconesses within the Apostle Area.
The text word for the service was taken from Isaiah 42: 9, “See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.’’
Explaining the text word, the Apostle highlighted that Christmas should remind us of what is to come and help us to prepare for future events.
He continued to share that the birth and life of Jesus, was a foretelling of the continuation of the salvation of God’s people. Just as Moses was called to lead the Israelites out of bondage into freedom, into the promised land, so did Jesus come to lead God’s people children, including Gentiles, into eternal life and salvation.
He also added that the life and works of Jesus was a telling of what is to come in the future, and an encouragement for all to heed the guidance and leadership of Jesus.
He concluded: “The Lord Jesus continues to remind us today of the future, the plan and act of salvation, through the Apostle’s ministry. Let us follow the doctrine of Jesus as preached and taught by the Apostles.”
The service was supported by District Rector Frimpong Adomako (Bremang District). About 217 members attended the divine service.
