On Saturday, March 1, 2025, District Rector Richard Adjah Tettey (Dangbe District, Accra Apostle Working Area) led a heartfelt funeral service for the late Community Evangelist Ammishadai Kwabla Dzinyegba at the Afienya Cluster School Park.
The text word used was from 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14, “But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.”
Beginning the sermon, the District Rector Richard Adjah Tettey offered condolences to the family and congregation, reminding everyone that like the late Community Evangelist Ammishadai, we too will one day face death. He posed the question, “How are we preparing for eternity?” He continued: “While some view death as the end, others believe in life after death, living in alignment with God’s teachings for a blessed eternity.”
Having reflected on the life and ministry works of the late Community Evangelist, the District Rector concluded by urging the congregants to re-examine their lives, warning against pursuing earthly desires that may lead to eternal regret, referencing the biblical story of the rich man and Lazarus. He assured that those who are ‘asleep in Christ’ will rise again at His return.
The District Rector, Felix Kodi (Ningo District) assisted the service.
