The bride and groom
26 May 2025

On Sunday, April 27, 2025, Shepherd Morris Yendu and Sister Agnes Moiloom celebrated their marriage feast at the Kumasi Central Church auditorium. The wedding officiated by Apostle Amos Osei-Du also had in attendance Apostles Nortey (Konongo Apostle Area), Quansah (Cape Coast Apostle Area), Adika-Lavoe (Sefwi-Wiawso),  and Bishop Kesse (Konongo Apostle Area).

The message aimed not to only chart a path for the newlywed couple but to reawaken dormant marriages for the ardent listeners and doers of such commandment.

The service was anchored on the general rule from Christ as recorded in Luke 6:31: "Do to others as you would have them do to you."
As part of his welcome address, Apostle Osei-Du highlighted the significance of marriage in Christians' lives, stating, “Marriage is a divine institution: that God ordained it by creating Adam and then forming Eve as his companion, establishing the divine foundation for marriage as a sacred and lifelong union.”

In his message, the Apostle affirmed that holding marriage ceremonies in the church and before the altar “does not guarantee success unless the couples adhere to the words preached to them.” The Apostle urged the couple to ‘apply the golden rule’ alongside humility, submission, and love, as prescribed by Apostle Paul for wives and husbands. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of these virtues, stating, “Humility and submission create harmony” and “Love is the foundation of marriage.” He encouraged them to embody these principles, ensuring mutual respect and understanding, and always treating each other with kindness and consideration.

In conclusion, Apostle Amos Osei-Du admonished Mr. and Mrs. Yendu to “be merciful to one another, communicate effectively, refrain from judgment or condemnation, and forgive each other.” He extended the same admonishing to all couples present, urging them to show forth the light of Christ in them to the world. He further emphasized that effective communication is key, and forgiveness fosters unity. By embodying these virtues, couples can reflect Christ's love and grace in their marriages, serving as a beacon of hope to others, the Apostle added
