Apostle Sam, together with the ministers and confirmands, in a group picture after the divine service
1 July 2025

Apostle George Sam led the 2025 Confirmation Service at Kojokrom for our young brothers and sisters, where he delivered a message to signify the new chapter in their spiritual journey. The Apostle's message was a call to selflessness, humility, and compassion, encouraging the confirmands to live out their faith in a way that honours God and benefits those around them.
The service was based on Philippians 2:4, Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”

A Call to Compassion and Humility
The Apostle encouraged the confirmands to have compassion for one another and to let the wisdom of God dwell in them. He reminded them that they should humble themselves despite their growth, just like Christ did during His earthly ministry. Using the story of Joseph as an example, the Apostle taught the confirmands how to live out their faith. He emphasized that they were no longer part of the Sunday school program but would now be joining the mainstream service.

Discovering and Using Gifts
The Apostle reminded the congregation that everyone has a unique gift and encouraged them to use these talents to benefit the community and the congregation. He urged the adults not to hinder the children from showcasing their abilities, but rather to support and nurture them. Ending the service, Apostle Sam reiterated that we should encourage selflessness, empathy, and consideration for others. He reminded the congregation to prioritize others’ needs and well-being alongside our own, fostering a sense of community and unity.

The service was supported by District Rector Fenyi, Shepherd Ntim (Rector Kojokrom congregation), Community Evangelist Ansah (Rector Whindo congregation), and Priest Twumasi (Rector Sekondi).
