Apostle Frimpong and with wife, Sister Rebekah before the divine service
18 December 2025

On the side-lines of District Apostle Michael Ehrich’s visit to Sekondi-Takoradi, NAC Accra Reporter Priest Ebenezer Adjei sat down with Apostle Daniel Frimpong of the Koforidua Apostle Working Area. Their conversation offered a glimpse into the Apostle’s remarkable journey of faith, service, and leadership.

A Journey of Grace

Priest Adjei: Apostle, looking back, how would you sum up your life’s journey?
Apostle Daniel Frimpong: It’s all about grace! I’m blessed to be married to Rebekah, and we have five wonderful children. From being ordained a Priest in 1991, serving as District Rector for Asamankese in 2014, to becoming an Apostle for the Koforidua Apostle Working Area—ordained by Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider on Sunday, October 5, 2025, in Gabon—I’ve seen God’s grace at work every step of the way. I have survived three serious car accidents during ministerial work. I know it was only by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. With His help, I can do anything.

Unexpected Calling

Priest Adjei: Did you ever imagine your life would take this turn?
Apostle Daniel Frimpong: Not at all! I had different plans. Becoming an Apostle? I would have laughed! I envisioned retiring as a District Rector.

Vision for Koforidua

Priest Adjei: Before your ordination as an Apostle, what were your goals for the Koforidua Apostle Working Area?
Apostle Daniel Frimpong: I wanted to open more congregations. I saw the potential for growth and helped revive inactive ones. I also worked to strengthen the bonds between ministers.

Growth in Asamankese

Priest Adjei: Can you share some highlights from your time as District Rector for Asamankese?
Apostle Daniel Frimpong: As District Rector, I focused on caring for my ministers, which made them very active. The Asamankese congregation finally received its own church building after years of worshipping in rented premises.

The Call to Apostleship

Priest Adjei: How did you feel when you were told you were to be ordained an Apostle?
Apostle Daniel Frimpong: I was shocked and questioned it. But I was told it was because of my selfless dedication, leadership, and care for the ministers. I hold firmly to the phrase: “Everything you do under the sun is not hidden from the Lord.”

Looking Ahead

Priest Adjei: How do you envision your work as an Apostle?
Apostle Daniel Frimpong: I will continue the work of the Apostolate. I’ve gained experience working with Apostles Kotei-Afutu (rtd.) and Apostle Charles Asare on several projects during my tenure as District Rector. With God’s help, I will fulfil my duties.

Balancing Ministry and Family

Priest Adjei: How do you intend to balance your ministry and family life?
Apostle Daniel Frimpong: (Laughing) My wife used to complain about my busy schedule. Now, she asks where we’re going next! I always make time for my family despite having a large flock to care for.

Leadership Style

Priest Adjei: I understand you are a delegator, true?
Apostle Daniel Frimpong: Yes, I recognise the talents of others and delegate tasks to help them grow.

Words of Encouragement

Priest Adjei: Any words of encouragement for New Apostolic Christians?
Apostle Daniel Frimpong: Anything is possible! With God, we can achieve our goals. Let’s be patient, loving, and supportive of one another.
