Apostle Sam in a group picture after the divine service

“Believing in God strengthens faith and chases fear away”, said Apostle George Sam, as he delivered a stirring message to the Assestra Congregation in the Bamiankor District, emphasizing the power of gathered faith. This happened on January 18, 2026.

Speaking on Matthew 18:20, he highlighted the importance of believing in God and gathering in Jesus' name: ‘For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them.’
“Jesus offers us a profound promise that our faith is not just an individual pursuit, but a communal experience”, he encouraged. “Christ is in our midst today, right here with us”.

The Apostle accentuated that when believers come together in Jesus' name, something powerful happens; we tap into a collective energy of faith, love, and support, experiencing God's presence and power. This is where we find strength, encouragement, and transformation.
He continued: “Jesus’ promise is not limited to grand gatherings or large crowds; it’s for any two or three who gather in His name. This means that even in the smallest of settings, God’s presence is felt. We don't need to look for miracles in our lives”, the Apostle said. “The biggest miracle is when someone receives or feels Christ's presence in his life. Let us be a witness to Christ – that is a miracle.”

Ending the service, the Apostle said, “Today let’s reflect on the power of gathering faith. Let’s cherish and prioritize gatherings with fellow believers, knowing that Jesus is with us, and that together, we can experience His love and power in profound ways.”
The Apostle was accompanied by Bishop Thomas Ampofo, District Elder Appiah, and District Rector Asuah.
