The Volta North Apostle Area welcomed the Ghana Church Leader, Lead Apostle Benjamin Ohene‑Saffo, for a three‑day working visit from 17th –19th January 2026.
Meeting with District Rectors and Deputies
On 17 January 2026, the Lead Apostle convened a meeting with all District Rectors and their Deputies within the Apostle Area. The gathering combined administrative discussions with spiritual strengthening. For the devotional segment, the Lead Apostle read from John 13:3–5, 15, highlighting Jesus’ example of humility in washing His disciples’ feet. He reminded the leaders that Christ’s model of service must guide their ministry: “We are not bosses, neither are we rulers over souls. In all things, we want to show the way in a positive fashion,” he emphasized.
He encouraged the leaders to embody humility, unity, peace, and commitment to growth within their districts. Touching on the Church’s theme for the year—Do not be afraid, just believe—he assured them of God’s help in moments of fear, referencing the account of Jesus walking on the sea in Matthew 14:24–31. He also urged them to remain receptive to divine direction communicated through the Apostle ministry.
Key Issues Discussed
The meeting also addressed several important matters affecting the Apostle Area, including:
- The increasing exodus of youths from the church, particularly those entering tertiary institutions
- Establishing campus congregations to support students spiritually
- Teaching the pure, unadulterated gospel and doctrine of the Church
- Strengthening pastoral care for members who relocate, ensuring they are connected to ministers in their new congregations
- Offering: teaching on giving and proper accounting practices
- Enhancing District Leaders’ participation and interest in Sunday School and Confirmation classes
Call to Continued Commitment
In closing, the Lead Apostle commended the District Leaders for their dedication and encouraged them to continue – and even intensify – their efforts to nurture and grow the congregations under their care.
