Accra hosted a moment of deep significance for the Church in West Africa as District Apostle Michael Ehrich met with Apostles from across the region during his final official visit before retirement. The closed-door gathering brought together active and retired Apostles and Bishops in a spirit of gratitude, unity, and shared commitment to the work of God.

A Spirit of Prayer and Fellowship
The meeting opened with a heartfelt prayer of thanksgiving, humility, and unity. Intercessions were offered for members facing illness, poverty, and difficult living conditions, especially in conflict-affected areas. From the outset, the atmosphere reflected brotherly fellowship and a shared sense of responsibility for the Church and its members. In his opening words, District Apostle Ehrich expressed sincere appreciation for the opportunity to meet once more with the ministers of West Africa, noting that this visit might be his last to the region. He encouraged open and respectful dialogue and addressed key pastoral realities, including youth migration to urban centres, transportation challenges faced by ministers, financial pressures, church infrastructure needs, and the continued value of support from retired ministers.

A Call to Unity, Humility, and Simplicity
During the spiritual session, District Apostle Ehrich reflected on Ephesians 4:15, encouraging ministers to continue growing spiritually, to act with self-awareness, and to speak the truth in love — tempered by wisdom and discernment. He emphasized that unity is a sacred responsibility, expressed through humility, fairness, and Christ-like love. Ministers were reminded to preserve simplicity and reverence in divine services, avoiding any tendency toward personal display. District Apostle Ehrich reaffirmed that ministers are servants of God, not public figures, and that the Church belongs to Christ alone. Apostles, he emphasized, are ambassadors called to serve faithfully, focusing on spiritual care rather than personal recognition.

Gratitude and Encouragement
In his concluding remarks, District Apostle Ehrich thanked the ministers for their dedication and the spirit of cooperation evident throughout West Africa. He encouraged them to remain steadfast in faith, to trust fully in God, and to continue serving with joy and commitment. He reminded all present that, despite differing responsibilities, every ministry is equal and precious before God.

The meeting concluded on a deeply moving and celebratory note. On behalf of all West African ministers — both active and retired — Apostle Saidu of Sierra Leone read a letter of appreciation. The letter honoured District Apostle Michael Ehrich as a servant-leader whose life, teaching, and example have been a guiding light. It highlighted his compassion, clarity in preaching, and lasting impact in leading souls to Christ.

Appreciation was also extended to the New Apostolic Church of Southern Germany, as well as to his spouse and family, for their steadfast support throughout his ministry. The message closed with warm wishes for a richly blessed, peaceful, and fulfilling retirement.
