Members of Suhyenso in a group picture with Apostle Sam and ministers

It was a day of great blessing and divine joy in the Bogoso District when Apostle George Sam served three congregations in one District - Mensoso, Suhyenso, and Bogoso on Sunday, 27th September 2026. He was accompanied by District Rector Adams and Deputy District Rector Frank.

His final service was held at the Bogoso congregation. The text word was taken from Colossians 3:15-16: “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Apostle Sam expressed his gratitude for the patience of the members who waited for him and said, “Those who wait upon the Lord shall be blessed.” He encouraged them to remain steadfast and to continue waiting upon the Lord.

In his sermon, he emphasized that our lives must reflect the image of Christ. “The hand of Christ is upon us, so if anyone has an issue with us, that person has an issue with Christ and not with us.”

He urged the congregation to be content with what they have, reminding them: “We have Christ in us. Therefore, whatever is said against you, remember you have Christ in you.” He explained that unless we remove certain things from our hearts and minds, it will be difficult to worship God. But if we desist from them, worshiping God becomes easier. He called on all to allow the Word of God to dwell in them always.

Apostle Sam also reminded the brethren that Christ went through difficulties but did not give up because He knew what was ahead of Him. He admonished members to remove all unwholesome talk from their mouths and to be like Christ. “When we come into Christ, we become a new person,” he said.

He further urged forgiveness: “Let us try to forgive everyone who has offended us. We should desist from carrying the title that ‘this person does not forgive when offended.’ That is a bad title. Rather, we should be seen as people who have the nature of Christ in them.”

In conclusion, the Apostle stated that we can only have true fellowship with God if we are able to put away anger, hard-heartedness, and learn to speak truth to ourselves. The services in all three congregations were filled with joy and edification, and the brethren returned home strengthened in faith, with renewed resolve to let the peace of God rule in their hearts and the Word of Christ dwell in them richly.

He was supported at the altar by District Rector Adams and Community Evangelist Tulashie.
