Lead Apostle Benjamin Ohene-Sarfo brought his 2026 visitation to the Takoradi Apostle Working Area to a close with a Divine Service at the Kofiashia Congregation in the Daboase District on Sunday, 11 October 2026. He was supported by Apostle Sam and Bishop Ampofo.
The sermon was based on Revelation 4:11: “You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power; for you created all things, and by your will they exist and were created.”
The One Who Created All Things
In his sermon, the Lead Apostle emphasized that the only One worthy of our complete trust and obedience is the Creator of heaven and earth, because He alone knows the purpose and destiny of His creation. He reminded the congregation that believers are not in church merely out of habit or tradition, but by the grace of God.
Follow What Is Written
The Lead Apostle underscored the importance of adhering strictly to the teachings of Scripture. He explained that the message he preached was not based on personal opinions, but on what God has revealed through His Word and through His Son, Jesus Christ. He cautioned believers against becoming overly attached to material possessions or assuming they know more than the Creator.
Grace: The Open Tap
Speaking on the grace of God, the Lead Apostle explained that death and suffering were never part of God's original plan for humanity. Through disobedience, mankind lost its authority and became subject to hardship. Yet, in His love and mercy, God provided a path of restoration through grace. He described grace as an open tap from which all who are thirsty may freely drink. Salvation, he noted, is not earned through position, offerings, or human achievements, but is received through God's grace.
Christ: The Way to Salvation
The Lead Apostle reminded the congregation of Christ's declaration that He is “the Way, the Truth, and the Life,” and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. He stressed that entering the Kingdom of God is far more important than seeking signs and wonders, because God acts according to His divine will. He explained that God entrusted all authority to His Son and therefore Christians must follow Christ alone.
A Call to Remain Firm
Concluding the service, the Lead Apostle encouraged the congregation to remain steadfast in the faith and faithful to the teachings of the Apostles.
“Beloved, we have been called into the Kingdom of God, and a new place has been prepared for us. We have been told the truth. I plead with you to continue to follow the teaching of the Apostles and remain firm. Stand firm in every situation. If night falls, day will surely break again.”
