The choir and orchestra
20 October 2026

The New Apostolic Church, East Legon congregation, successfully held Symphony of Thanks 2026 on Saturday, 3 October 2026, bringing together members of the church and invited guests for an inspiring evening of music, fellowship, and thanksgiving to God.

Anchored in the theme “A Year of Grace - From His Fullness,” inspired by John 1:16, the event provided an opportunity for the congregation to reflect on God's abundant grace and express gratitude through the universal language of music even before the annual thanksgiving service the next day.

Symphony of Thanks 2026 unfolded in three distinct parts, each offering a unique expression of thanksgiving and musical excellence. The first part of the program featured seven musical compositions by local and foreign composers. Through these selections, the choir and orchestra demonstrated their musical skill and dedication, setting an atmosphere of reflection and thanksgiving to God.

The second part brought together the Sunday School and orchestra in a special presentation where the audience were treated with a short drama depicting the 10 lepers who were healed by Jesus Christ after which only one went back to give thanks. This segment highlighted the importance of nurturing stage and musical talent among younger members and encouraging their participation and transition into the musical life of the church.

The final part featured performances by the choir and orchestra, complemented by local praise tunes by the NAC Tema brass band. The combination of choral music, orchestral arrangements, and familiar expressions of praise created a fitting conclusion to an evening dedicated to celebrating God's goodness throughout the year.

The event was graced by the presence of Bishop Fenyi, alongside other active and retired ministers, whose attendance added significance to the occasion. Their presence, together with the participation of the congregation, choir as well as the orchestra, reflected the shared commitment to worship, fellowship, and the preservation of the church's musical heritage.

Beyond the performances, Symphony of Thanks 2026 served as a reminder that thanksgiving extends beyond words. Music provided a meaningful medium through which participants could acknowledge God's faithfulness and reflect on the grace received throughout the year.

As the melodies of Symphony of Thanks 2026 continue to resonate, the message remains clear: every season presents an opportunity to recognize God's grace and give thanks for His abundant blessings.
