On Saturday, September 26, 2026, the New Apostolic Church, Osu Congregation, came alive with a beautiful symphony evening of thanksgiving, praise and fellowship as members and guests gathered for a memorable Thanks and Praise Concert. Through uplifting melodies, harmonious voices and heartfelt musical expressions, the congregation celebrated the goodness and faithfulness of God.
The concert originated from a directive to the Rector of the Congregation, Shepherd Kwapong, to organise a musical concert during the Easter period of the previous year. Although the initial plans did not materialise, the programme was rescheduled to coincide with the Thanksgiving period in 2026, giving rise to the fitting theme, “Thanks and Praise.”
Behind the beautiful melodies were six months of dedicated preparation and rehearsals. The Osu Choir were joined by choristers of the neighbouring Teshie and La Congregations. Their preparations were supported by friends from the Presbyterian Church who shared their musical expertise, enriching the preparations and performances. Despite the challenges, the congregation helped bring the vision to fruition, driven by a collective desire to thank God, the Creator of heaven and earth.
The concert unfolded in three segments, featuring a rich blend of choral and musical performances, a special presentation by the Sunday School and the much-anticipated launch of the Osu Congregation Orchestra.
The occasion was graced by Apostle Asare Addo (Accra Apostle Working Area), Bishops Fenyi (Accra Working Area) and Kesse (Konongo Apostle Working Area), alongside other active and retired ministers, members and guests.
More than a musical celebration, the concert was a heartfelt offering of gratitude to God. Every voice raised and every instrument played reflected unity, dedication and a shared desire to glorify Him through the gifts of His creation, particularly music. The event reaffirmed the blessings of fellowship and the joy of serving God together, leaving the congregation with a renewed spirit of thanksgiving and praise.
