Apostle Sam in a group picture after the divine service
23 October 2026

“Men may speak with their own minds, but their mind is not God’s mind. Our ways are not His ways. God knows your tears and your problems. Your time will come – wait upon the Lord.” These were Apostle George Sam’s words as he visited the Ewuko congregation on Sunday, 18 October 2026, in a divine service that was also supported by District Elder Owu, and Shepherd Ndakye.

The text word for the service was taken from Psalm 40:5, "Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works which You have done; and Your thoughts toward us cannot be recounted to You in order; if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered."

The faithfulness of God and the power of love and remembrance
Apostle Sam preached on the love and loyalty between David and Jonathan. David never forgot Jonathan's kindness and, even after his death, sought to bless his family. Jonathan faithfully protected David from Saul's schemes, while David supported and encouraged Saul to trust in God, relying on God's power rather than human strength.

Do not let anyone hide your destiny
Apostle Sam explained that when David became king, he sought out Jonathan's son, Mephibosheth, who had been hidden away and overlooked because of his disability. Instead of rejecting him, David brought him into the palace, restored his inheritance, and gave him a place in the king's house. The Apostle encouraged believers that while people may judge, hide, or disregard them because of their circumstances, God can lift them up, restore what was lost, and publicly bless them before those who once rejected them.

Do not think you are late in life
Apostle Sam, in encouraging members said: “Do not think you are late in life or that God has forgotten you. People may hide you and speak ill of you without knowing your story. Your star will shine. God will bless you and those behind you will notice it.” He encouraged members not to feel late in life or compare themselves with others. God is the only destiny-changer, and His ways are not our ways. If we place our trust in God, He will never fail us.

Love opens doors to favour
In conclusion, Apostle Sam urged believers to live a life of love. “Because of love, God gave His only Son. If we want to experience God, we must include love in our actions. Let us put our hope in God. He will never fail us. His eye is upon us. If anyone stands against us, he stands against God. Let the authority and mark we have received from God not be washed away. Let us proclaim the gospel wherever we are, so that all eyes will bear witness that God has done it for us and not man.”

The service ended with members encouraged to wait patiently on the Lord, knowing that when the time comes, the Lord will locate them.
