On Sunday, October 18, 2026, Apostle Charles Addo Asare (Accra Apostle Working Area) celebrated a divine service with the Oyibi Congregation in the Accra West District. He was accompanied by Bishop Fenyi, District Rector Arhin, and District Rector Delegate Hammond.

The text word for the service was based on Psalm 40:5: “Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works which You have done; and Your thoughts toward us cannot be re-counted to You in order; if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.”

Beginning the sermon, Apostle Charles Addo Asare highlighted God’s wonderful works and his countless thoughts towards humanity. He explained that God’s works show His everlasting love, mercy, and desire to save humanity. Although God’s greatness is beyond human understanding, recognising His goodness strengthens our faith, deepens our trust in Him, and inspires gratitude.

The Apostle reminded members that:

  • God’s help is evident not only in extraordinary circumstances but also in everyday life. His protection, provision, comfort, forgiveness, and renewed hope are expressions of His loving care.
  • Like the psalmist, believers must acknowledge their continuing need for God’s mercy and grace.
  • They should appreciate God’s blessings, remain thankful, and recognise His presence in their daily lives.

The Apostle explained that believers may sometimes struggle to understand God’s timing, decisions, or the challenges they face. However, they should not lose hope or rush to conclusions when things do not go as expected. Instead, they must remain prayerful and trust that God’s plans are for their protection, salvation, and eternal life.

Concluding the sermon, the Apostle further emphasised that:

  • Believers should show God’s goodness through love, patience, forgiveness, hope, and a willingness to reconcile with others. Their daily conduct should reflect the transforming power of God’s grace.
  • By showing kindness, overcoming bitterness, being patient, and restoring broken relationships, Christians become living witnesses of God’s wonderful works.

The Apostle Charles Addo Asare was assisted by Bishop Fenyi.
